These are the end times. An evil tide is engulf­ing us, and not only soci­ety but the col­lec­tive soul of this plan­et is going down the toi­let. Satan is mak­ing his last-ditch, des­per­ate, balls-to-the wall play for eter­nal juris­dic­tion over the human soul. Admit­ted­ly, he is falling into God’s long-pre­pared trap by doing so, but not with­out tak­ing a lot of delud­ed souls along with him!

 

God saves those who save them­selves, so for God’s sake, get saved!

 

Any­one who has accept­ed the gene-alter­ing mark of the beast mRNA “vac­cine,” and who still believes they did the right thing, that the sci­en­tis­tic nano-tech­noc­ra­cy is their friend and the only way for­ward is by increas­ing sub­servience to Big Moth­er (the super-nan­ny-state), is most prob­a­bly beyond sav­ing. So why beat around a bush that’s already burn­ing? I am con­fi­dent I will find a few pure souls out there will­ing to take the plunge.

Do we avoid fac­ing the truth of the soul because we can’t han­dle it, or are we unable to han­dle the truth because we avoid fac­ing it?The answer is that it real­ly doesn’t mat­ter which came first, the phoenix or the fire. All that mat­ters is that, the longer we avoid the truth, the hard­er it becomes to face it, and that even­tu­al­ly, there will be a reck­on­ing.

 

Because in the end, the only thing that’s left stand­ing is the soul; that, and the truth of what we have done, either to it or with it, in our short time here.

 

We have been tricked into a world­ly ori­en­ta­tion that requires a denial of the life of the soul.

 

The very same sys­tem that ter­ror­izes us, offers us its pseu­do-solu­tions to escape the ter­ror. The more those solu­tions fail, the more we keep hang­ing on for bet­ter, upgrad­ed ver­sions of “the cure.” With each nod of assent, we con­sent to the fur­ther col­o­niza­tion of our bod­ies, hearts, and minds, fur­ther reduc­ing our soul’s oppor­tu­ni­ty to make a home here.

 

Get­ting free from the satan­ic sys­tem of the world depends on free­ing our nat­ur­al psy­cho­so­mat­ic sys­tem from the satan­ic intro­jec­tion of the world. 

 

It requires can­celling every last one of our invest­ments in the sur­ro­gate, coun­ter­feit sup­port sys­tem of our minds and bod­ies, and return­ing to the only sys­tem that can actu­al­ly sup­port us: the soul and the spirit.

 

Enthralled to a sys­tem that wants our last drop of blood, semen, and life essence in return, we can hold out hope that, some­how, the mir­a­cle will even­tu­al­ly hap­pen, AI, the Aliens, or the New Age Old Ones will come, and our lives will final­ly be sort­ed out, by out­side authorities.

 

Hope that’s based in unfound­ed & exter­nal­ly incept­ed fears keeps us bound.

 

Free­dom, retriev­ing the soul from Hell, means relin­quish­ing every last hope and belief, in order to gain access—and become accessible—to reality.

 

What does the total aban­don­ment of all false hope feel like? To the mind, it feels exact­ly like despair. To the soul, it feels like life!

 

The bridge between those two appar­ent oppo­sites is that, only by los­ing all hope of being res­cued by the sys­tem, inner and out­er, can we be ful­ly lib­er­at­ed from of our fears of the sys­tem, and enter into the un-sys­tem-ized eter­nal life of the soul.

The Sat April 9th meet was on the Nature of Evil, Nat­ur­al Evil Vs. Anti-Nat­ur­al “Good” Pos­i­tive Destruc­tion, the Ter­ri­ble Allure or Preda­tors and the essen­tial­i­ty of the Shad­ow inte­gra­tion (whole­ness).

 

Inspired by a recent 2‑part doc­u­men­tary on Jim­my Sav­ile, I am tak­ing a brief tour down my own per­son­al mem­o­ry lane (occult­ed York­shire) and into the col­lec­tive karmic quag­mire of our shared com­plic­i­ty on the night­mare called his­to­ry. When the train of soci­ety is about to wreck it’s time to get off no mat­ter how break­neck the leap is like­ly to be. You have, after all is said and done, the after­life and the eter­nal soul to think of! This will be an inter­ac­tive explo­ration of what in some ways is the most urgent human mys­tery of all, how and why did we go so hor­ri­bly wrong, what’s the worst it can actu­al­ly get (or is), and how to walk the razor’s edge between nihilis­ti­cal­ly embrac­ing evil, lib­er­al­ly deny­ing it exists, or moral­is­ti­cal­ly con­demn­ing it with­out empa­thy or under­stand­ing. None of these roads leads to free­dom, so what is the “fourth way” (no ref to CGG)

Just how bad is the infor­ma­tion we have been get­ting?

Ever won­der why the pur­suit of hap­pi­ness seems to only per­pet­u­ate more mis­ery?

 

Is it because, like old Mick, what’s pur­su­ing hap­pi­ness can nev­er get it, because it secret­ly thrives on dissatisfaction?

 

There’s some­thing inside us that doesn’t belong there.

 

Is the aver­age spir­i­tu­al seek­er so dif­fer­ent from the aver­age hap­pi­ness-pur­su­ing hedo­nist or drug addict? Aren’t we all rid­den by the same dia­bol­ic interloper?

 

We want to escape men­tal, emo­tion­al and phys­i­cal dis­com­fort, to get off this Satan­ic plan­et before we have even arrived, but there’s a self-per­pet­u­at­ing para­dox of paral­y­sis at work: when we can’t han­dle real­i­ty we seek to escape it through fan­ta­sy, dis­trac­tion, and dis­so­ci­a­tion (or med­i­ta­tion), and so our real­i­ty gets pro­gres­sive­ly wors­er and wors­er. Look around at the world if you doubt it.

 

At root of this con­tra­dic­to­ry con­di­tion is the false iden­ti­ty and the legion of unclean spir­its that cre­at­ed it. Like an elec­tric trip-wire mesh around the soul, it is there to cause intol­er­a­ble dis­com­fort when­ev­er our aware­ness gets too close to it (the soul), but also to get us to kick against the pricks of that chick­en coop, with all the con­ster­na­tion and self-pity we can muster.

 

It pro­vokes a defi­ant refusal to tol­er­ate dis­com­fort, ensur­ing that we flinch, squirm, wrig­gle, recoil, con­tract, and retract (and redact), away from awak­en­ing, each time it threat­ens to real­ly hap­pen.

 

Flip this over and what do you get: the suf­fer­ing of the false iden­ti­ty is good for the Soul!?

 

Hap­pi­ness, con­ceived by the mind and the emo­tions, is not to be pur­sued, but relin­quished and renounced, as a self-cen­tered, satan­i­cal­ly implant­ed illu­sion that tells us we can live for­ev­er and get every­thing we ever want­ed, if we only bow down to It.

 

Don’t do it! Just Say No to Nar­cis­sus.

 

Sit tight in the desert of the real and wait, patient­ly, excru­ci­at­ing­ly, for awak­en­ing and all its appar­ent ago­nies to come, gen­tly, like Jesus-the-hit­man in the night.

Bust­ing a move from satan­ic sys­tem depen­den­cy to reliance on the land can gen­er­ate some anx­i­ety. Even think­ing about how steep the learn­ing curve is like­ly to be can be rough-going. In fact, think­ing about it is the hard­est part.

My whole life has been a con­fused but com­mit­ted quest to guide oth­ers towards the exit that I myself am seek­ing. Act­ing as a bea­con for lost souls in the dark satan­ic waters of sam­sara has pre­sent­ed an ongo­ing chal­lenge for me to hon­est­ly rep­re­sent my own lost-ness while help­ing oth­ers to find their way.

If I didn’t know which way is in and which way is out, if I didn’t have some con­fi­dence about how to extri­cate myself from Ahri­man­ic enmesh­ment, I would nev­er have the cojones to offer guid­ance or inspi­ra­tion to any­one else. But if I over­reach or exag­ger­ate my posi­tion on the sal­va­tion scale (or pre­tend that I even know it), that’s the surest means to lose my own way, and so lead oth­ers astray.

Oh dilem­ma! For­tu­nate­ly, the soul is there to straight­en the gate and widen the way. And with or with­out our camels, we will all get to meet at the Eye of that Needle.

One way or anoth­er, the Big Squeeze is com­ing. We can either push our courage to the stink­ing place, and let God remold the clay of our souls into a suit­able ves­sel. Or we can sit tight in our matric­u­lar pods, in com­fort­able con­ve­nience, and let Ahri­man grind us into nano-par­ti­cles for Lucifer’s big-motherboard.

Yes, the learn­ing curve is steep; but sure­ly that’s bet­ter than a spir­i­tu­al flat-line?

The way to increase your com­pe­ten­cy is sim­ple: be will­ing to have repeat expe­ri­ences of your incom­pe­tence, and an ongo­ing series of con­fi­dence crises. (In case you hadn’t noticed, that’s life!) The good news is that, as the false iden­ti­ty slow­ly and inex­orably faces up to its utter inca­pac­i­ty to nav­i­gate eter­ni­ty, the soul gen­tly moves in, and takes over the controls.

 

The 8th Sphere

Sphere Four comes into being through the birth of the min­er­al ele­ment. In that Lucifer and Ahri­man approach, snatch min­er­al sub­stan­tial­i­ty out of Sphere Four and infuse it into Sphere Three, the Old Moon is reca­pit­u­lat­ed, but now with mate­ri­al­i­ty that belongs prop­er­ly to the Earth.

Mark this well: instead of pure Imag­i­na­tions being there, the Imag­i­na­tions are den­si­fied by the infu­sion of a min­er­al ele­ment that has been wrest­ed from the Earth. Den­si­fied Imag­i­na­tions are thus cre­at­ed. We are there­fore drawn into a world of den­si­fied Imag­i­na­tions which are not lunar in char­ac­ter because they have been den­si­fied by mate­ri­al­i­ty belong­ing to the Earth. They are ghosts, spec­tres — that is to say, behind our world there is a world of spec­tres cre­at­ed by Lucifer and Ahriman.

Let me express it schemat­i­cal­ly, as fol­lows: On the Old Moon cer­tain pic­tures were present. These should have passed over to the Earth as some­thing every­where per­cep­ti­ble. But Lucifer and Ahri­man retained them for them­selves. Lucifer and Ahri­man wrest­ed from the Earth cer­tain of its con­stituents and made them into Imag­i­na­tions, so that these Earth-sub­stances became, not Earth­ly for­ma­tions, but Moon for­ma­tions. Into our Fourth Sphere, there­fore, there has been instilled a sphere that is real­ly a Moon-sphere, but is filled with Earth­ly sub­stan­tial­i­ty and is there­fore a bogus cre­ation in the Uni­verse. To the sev­en Spheres, an Eighth, cre­at­ed in oppo­si­tion to the pro­gres­sive Spir­its, has been added. The nec­es­sary con­se­quence of this is that the Spir­its of Form must do bat­tle on the Earth for every morsel of sub­stan­tial­i­ty capa­ble of min­er­al­i­sa­tion, lest it should be wrest­ed from them by Lucifer and Ahri­man and borne into the Eighth Sphere.

In order that he might be ripe for free­dom, the min­er­al nature had to be incor­po­rat­ed into him; he had to become a being per­me­at­ed with the min­er­al ele­ment. Hence man can be edu­cat­ed for free­dom only with­in the earth­ly-mate­r­i­al world.

This by itself indi­cates the tremen­dous sig­nif­i­cance of the earth­ly-mate­r­i­al world. That which must be acquired by mankind — free­dom of the will — can be acquired only dur­ing Earth-evo­lu­tion. In the Jupiter, Venus, and Vul­can stages men will need this free­dom of will. There­fore when we con­sid­er the ques­tion of free­dom, we are in a realm of great impor­tance; for we know that the Earth is the beget­ter of free­dom pre­cise­ly because it is the Earth that impreg­nates man with the phys­i­cal-min­er­al element.

From this you will under­stand that what stems from the free will must be kept with­in the realm of Earth. To Spheres Three, Two and One, it is impos­si­ble to apply any­thing that stems from the prin­ci­ple of free­dom. But the endeav­our of Lucifer and Ahri­man is to drag the free will of man, and what­ev­er stems from it, into the Eighth Sphere. This means that man is per­pet­u­al­ly exposed to the dan­ger of hav­ing his free will wrest­ed from him and dragged by Lucifer and Ahri­man into the Eighth Sphere.

This hap­pens if the ele­ment of free will is trans­formed, for exam­ple, into vision­ary clair­voy­ance. When this is the case, a man is already in the Eighth Sphere. This is a mat­ter of which occultists are so reluc­tant to speak, because it is an awful, ter­ri­ble truth. The moment the free will is trans­formed into vision­ary clair­voy­ance, what unfolds in the human being becomes the booty of Lucifer and Ahri­man. It is imme­di­ate­ly cap­tured by them and there­by spir­it­ed away from the Earth. You can see from this how, through the shack­ling of free will, the spec­tres of the Eighth Sphere are cre­at­ed. Lucifer and Ahri­man are engaged per­pet­u­al­ly in shack­ling man’s free will and in con­jur­ing all sorts of things before him in order to tear away what he makes out of these things and let it dis­ap­pear in the Eighth Sphere.

When clair­voy­ance in all kinds of dif­fer­ent forms devel­ops in naive, cred­u­lous, super­sti­tious peo­ple, it is often the case that their free will has been sac­ri­ficed. Then Lucifer instant­ly seizes hold of it, and where­as these peo­ple imag­ine they have had an expe­ri­ence of immor­tal­i­ty, the truth is that in their visions they see a part, or a prod­uct, of their souls being wrest­ed away and pre­pared for the Eighth Sphere. 

From this you will realise that Lucifer and Ahri­man have an avid desire to bring as much as pos­si­ble into the Eighth Sphere. Although Goethe mixed Lucifer and Ahri­man togeth­er, he has nev­er­the­less cor­rect­ly described how a soul is wrest­ed away from the clutch­es of Mephistophe­les-Ahri­man! It would be the rich­est prize for Lucifer and Ahri­man if they could ever suc­ceed in cap­tur­ing a whole soul for them­selves; for there­by such a soul would dis­ap­pear into the Eighth Sphere and be lost from Earth-evo­lu­tion. The great­est vic­to­ry for Lucifer and Ahri­man would be if one day they could claim that count­less num­bers of the dead had passed into their sphere. That would be their great­est vic­to­ry. More­over there is a way of achiev­ing it. Lucifer and Ahri­man may say: human beings long to know some­thing about the life between death and a new birth. If, there­fore, we tell them that they are learn­ing some­thing from the dead, they will be sat­is­fied and will direct their feel­ings towards the realm from which announce­ments are made to them as com­ing from the dead. If there­fore we desire that the hearts and minds of men shall be guid­ed towards the Eighth Sphere, let us say to them: we are telling you some­thing that comes from the dead. We shall cap­ture men by alleg­ing that the dead are in our domain.

This dev­il­ish plan — for here we have indeed to do with the dev­il — was put into effect by Lucifer and Ahri­man when it had occurred to occultists to endeav­our to accom­plish some­thing through medi­umship. Lucifer and Ahri­man inspired the medi­ums through whom they arranged the whole busi­ness, in order that peo­ple might be guid­ed to the realm whence the dead were alleged to be speak­ing. Lucifer and Ahri­man could then lay hold of their souls. The occultists were alarmed when they saw what course things were tak­ing and they took coun­sel among them­selves as to how to steer away from it. Even those who belonged to the left wing realised what was hap­pen­ing, and they said: we will do some­thing dif­fer­ent! An oppor­tu­ni­ty then pre­sent­ed itself through the appear­ance of a remark­able per­son­al­i­ty, name­ly H. P. Blavatsky. Now, after the plan had been seen through and the occultists on the Earth no longer lent their hands to it, Lucifer and Ahri­man were oblig­ed to pur­sue their aim in a dif­fer­ent way.

Mate­ri­al­ism had come upon the scene in the nat­ur­al course of the Earth­’s evo­lu­tion. There­fore in order to reck­on with the min­er­alised process of evo­lu­tion, it was nec­es­sary that men’s atten­tion should be focussed entire­ly on mate­r­i­al things. That is mate­ri­al­ism pure and simple!

 

Soul-Love or Bust Meet

From the intro to the unpublished/suppressed/disowned mem­oir, Answer to Lucifer, cir­ca 2008:

Among many oth­er things I dis­missed as erro­neous or delud­ed, I have nev­er believed it was pos­si­ble to save anoth­er per­son. In fact, for at least half of my life (the same half I neglect­ed vam­pires as a real pos­si­bil­i­ty), I did not real­ly acknowl­edge the pos­si­bil­i­ty, or the neces­si­ty, of being saved. Such Chris­t­ian ter­mi­nol­o­gy was worse than mean­ing­less to me.

Even in the every­day, con­ver­sa­tion­al sense (such as when we talk about “fac­ing our demons” with­out ever hav­ing to crack open the Necro­nom­i­con), so far as peo­ple need “sav­ing” from drugs or alco­hol, heart­break or despair, mis­ery or mar­riage or their own damned igno­rance (in the sense we all need sav­ing), it was axiomat­ic to me that no one could save any­one who wasn’t already will­ing to be saved. (Maybe the need to believe in a sav­ior out­side of our­selves is what makes Chris­tian­i­ty so pop­u­lar? Anoth­er ques­tion, anoth­er thesis.)

I still believe that no one can save any­one else.

But, over the years, I have come to qual­i­fy this, a foot­note, if you will, amend­ing my basic belief.

No one can save any­one else, but it is pos­si­ble to lead some­one to a place where they might save themselves.

It is pos­si­ble to lead anoth­er to that place.

It is pos­si­ble to lead another.

It is pos­si­ble to lead.

It is possible.

It is.

This week, I have been think­ing about the two seem­ing­ly oppos­ing forces with­in me, that of iner­tia (cold) and aspi­ra­tion (hot) and how nei­ther one is healthy in and of itself, because the right bal­ance of both is what is required.

This hap­pens to coin­cide with my search for sim­ple sum­ma­tions of the spir­i­tu­al prin­ci­pals of Lucifer and Ahri­man (the two sides of “Satan”) in the work of Rudolf Stein­er, to include in Big Moth­er, the book I am work­ing on about the tech­nol­o­gy of evil.

This per­tains to the grow­ing imper­a­tive to save our souls, the ways in which it can work, and the ways in which it can back­fire, like hell­fire that’s not con­tained to make a forge is going to burn your house down.

This gospel is not for your mind but for your soul. For the mind, all news is bad news.

Souls do not die, but they can have their birthing process abort­ed. Keats wrote that this world is a vale of soul-mak­ing. It is the means by which the undif­fer­en­ti­at­ed con­scious­ness of exis­tence is shaped into an indi­vid­ual soul, like a sword forged in the fur­nace. But the suc­cess of the process is not guar­an­teed. This world is engi­neered by Ahri­man & Lucifer to cap­ture our souls and pre­vent them from com­ing to fruition.

We are here to con­nect to the ele­ments, to acti­vate the soul by ground­ing it in the tem­po­ral, in prepa­ra­tion for its onward jour­ney. Not to do so means our trip to infin­i­ty is can­celled. The soul is cap­tured at the moment of death because our aware­ness is absent, and an insen­sate soul is farmable raw ener­gy for satan­ic har­vest. It does not go onto to join the hosts of Heaven.

Destruc­tion is not “anti-life” any more than cre­ation is “life.” And it is just as pos­si­ble to be over-dri­ven to save souls as to be too apa­thet­ic about it. I invite you to feel into this strange war with­in us, for ways in which these oppos­ing-cur­rents move, with­in our own body and psy­che, and how a war can become a dance, and a move­ment of love.

Does every body on the plan­et have (con­nec­tion to) a sen­tient soul-essence; if not, what ARE they doing here? (Noth­ing good, obviously.)

Is there such a thing as an indi­vid­ual soul? Do you have one? If not, how can you get one?

What­ev­er your age, we are now in the ener­getic count­down to death. This is what life starts to feel like as time runs out, all the way to the final hour, the final moment, when we are launched, ready or not, into the fires of spir­i­tu­al reality.

Lucifer + Ahriman (A Steiner Primer)

The Lucifer­ic beings … strive for just the oppo­site of what the Ahri­man­ic beings desire. The Ahri­man­ic beings seek to free man togeth­er with the whole of earth-exis­tence from the cos­mic past and to con­serve the earth­ly. The Lucifer­ic beings strive to thrust away the earth, thrust away from man every­thing earth­ly and spir­i­tu­al­ize him entire­ly, so that the forces of the earth can­not work upon him. They would like man to be pure­ly a cos­mic being, and would like the earth to fall away from evo­lu­tion and be cast out into the universe. 

Where­as Ahri­man wants the earth to become an inde­pen­dent enti­ty and man’s whole world, the Lucifer­ic beings strive towards the oppo­site goal. They want the earth to be thrust away from human­i­ty and human­i­ty to be lift­ed into that realm where they them­selves have their exis­tence, the pure world of duration.

In order to attain this object the Lucifer­ic beings seek per­pet­u­al­ly to make the human intel­li­gence auto­mat­ic, they endeav­or to crush down man’s free will. Should intel­li­gence become pure­ly auto­mat­ic and the free will crushed, then with auto­mat­ic intel­li­gence and not with our own will, but the will of the gods, we should be able to accom­plish what it fell to us to per­form. We should become entire­ly cos­mic beings. 

That is the goal towards which the Lucifer­ic beings strive. They endeav­or to make us pure spir­its, such as have cos­mic intel­li­gence in place of their own, spir­its who have no free will, and whose think­ing and act­ing run their course auto­mat­i­cal­ly, as among the Hier­ar­chy of the Angels and to a great extent in the hier­ar­chy of the Lucifer­ic beings — but here in anoth­er respect. They wish to make us pure spir­its and to cast away the earth­ly impulse. More­over they want to cre­ate an intel­li­gence for us which is entire­ly unin­flu­enced by any kind of brain and absolute­ly untouched by the inter­weav­ing of free will.

The beings who flock round Ahri­man, the Ahri­man­ic beings, want on the con­trary to cul­ti­vate most espe­cial­ly human intel­lect, to cul­ti­vate it to the extent of being increas­ing­ly depen­dent on the whole earth-exis­tence. They want, more­over, to devel­op inten­sive­ly man’s indi­vid­ual will — that is, pre­cise­ly all that the Lucifer­ic beings wish to repress. The Ahri­man­ic beings, or, expressed bet­ter, the spir­its serv­ing Ahri­man, want to devel­op ful­ly pre­cise­ly this — we must take that def­i­nite­ly into account.

… Just con­sid­er: we as human beings, are actu­al­ly stand­ing in between these two con­flict­ing aims of the spir­i­tu­al worlds. And in a cer­tain sense we have the task as man so to live our life in the world that we fol­low nei­ther Ahri­man nor Lucifer but find an equi­lib­ri­um between the two currents.

Ahri­man would like to have laws; inscribe laws every­where. And again human com­mu­ni­ty-life is inter­wo­ven with the hatred of Lucifer against law and Ahriman’s sym­pa­thy for it — and one does not under­stand life if one does not under­stand it as a dual­ism. Ahri­man likes all that is out­er form, that can stiff­en; Lucifer likes — the Lucifer­ic beings like — all that is form­less, that dis­solves form, becomes flu­id and flex­i­ble. By life itself one must learn to cre­ate the bal­ance between the want­i­ng to stiff­en and the becom­ing fluid.

[T]here below is Ahri­man who would let every­thing grow rigid, there above is Lucifer who wish­es to spir­i­tu­al­ize every­thing; both, how­ev­er, must remain invis­i­ble, for in the world of Maya only the wave-rip­ples may appear. Woe if Ahri­man or Lucifer should them­selves press into what desires to be life!

If we con­sid­er the tur­bu­lence of recent years, we will find that it has been caused in par­tic­u­lar by Ahri­man­ic pow­ers. Like the incar­na­tion of Lucifer at the begin­ning of the third mil­len­ni­um BC, and the Christ incar­na­tion at the time of the mys­tery of Gol­go­tha, there will be an incar­na­tion in the west of the being of Ahri­man in the third mil­len­ni­um AD, some­time after our cur­rent life on earth has end­ed. We only prop­er­ly com­pre­hend the course of his­to­ry and human evo­lu­tion over almost six mil­len­nia, if we see it in these terms a Lucifer­ic incar­na­tion at one pole, the Christ incar­na­tion in the mid­dle of this peri­od, and the incar­na­tion of Ahri­man at the oth­er pole. 

Lucifer is the pow­er in us which stirs up all quixot­ic and fer­vent pow­ers, all false mys­ti­cism, all that seeks to ele­vate us arro­gant­ly beyond our actu­al capac­i­ties. In a sense, it brings our blood into chaot­ic dis­or­der, in order to lift us out of our­selves. Ahri­man, on the oth­er hand, is the pow­er that makes a per­son pro­sa­ic, hard-head­ed, philis­tine, that ossi­fies us and per­suades us of the illu­so­ry truth of mate­ri­al­ism. Basi­cal­ly, our human nature is the effort to main­tain equi­lib­ri­um between the Lucifer­ic and the Ahri­man­ic pow­er. And in mod­ern times, the Christ impulse aids us in cre­at­ing this bal­ance or equi­lib­ri­um. These two poles are always present in us: the Lucifer­ic and the Ahrimanic.

Now it is intrin­sic to such things that they are long pre­pared before­hand. Just as Lucifer once appeared in human form in Chi­na, and Christ Jesus appeared in human form in the near east, so Ahri­man­ic pow­ers are prepar­ing human evo­lu­tion in a way that will allow human­i­ty to suc­cumb to Ahri­man when he even­tu­al­ly appears in human form in west­ern civ­i­liza­tion, which will scarce­ly any longer be civ­i­liza­tion as we know it. There is no use enter­tain­ing illu­sions about such things. Ahri­man will appear in human form. All that will mat­ter is the degree to which he finds humankind pre­pared for his arrival, whether his prepa­ra­tions will enable him to enlist all human­i­ty, all civ­i­liza­tion as we know it, to fol­low his dic­tates, or whether he will find a human­i­ty that can offer him resistance.… 

Ahri­man, hop­ing that his incar­na­tion will be as fruit­ful as pos­si­ble for him, is most keen­ly inter­est­ed in human beings per­fect­ing this illu­so­ry sci­ence, which more or less accounts for all sci­ence today, but with­out them real­iz­ing that it is illu­so­ry. Ahri­man has the very great­est inter­est in teach­ing peo­ple math­e­mat­ics, but with­out them see­ing that math­e­mat­i­cal and mechan­i­cal views of the cos­mos are mere illu­sion. He has the very great­est inter­est in teach­ing human­i­ty chem­istry, physics, biol­o­gy, and so forth, which fig­ure in our cul­ture as great­ly admired dis­ci­plines. But to make us believe too that they embody absolute truths, rather than par­tial aspects, pho­tographs, if you like, from only one viewpoint… 

Ahri­man has the pro­found­est inter­est in con­ceal­ing from human­i­ty the fact that mod­ern intel­lec­tu­al and ratio­nal­ist sci­ence, with its cra­dle of empiri­cism, is a great illu­sion. He would secure supreme tri­umphant suc­cess if he could suc­ceed in per­pet­u­at­ing, into the third mil­len­ni­um, these sci­en­tif­ic super­sti­tions so preva­lent every­where today, which even dic­tate the terms of social sci­ence. Born then as a human being, he would rejoice to find these sci­en­tif­ic super­sti­tions liv­ing with­in west­ern civilization. 

Keep­ing humankind locked in its sci­en­tif­ic super­sti­tions is one of the means employed by Ahri­man to make his incar­na­tion as effec­tive as pos­si­ble. The oth­er means, a sec­ond means, is to encour­age every­thing that divides peo­ple today, sun­ders them into small cliques and group­ings at odds with one anoth­er. In the polit­i­cal are­na, we can see this clear­ly today in all the par­ties and fac­tions. If we study this phe­nom­e­non with an open mind, we can see that these par­ties feud­ing with each oth­er can­not be explained by mere dif­fer­ences in human nature.… Here it is very clear that non-sen­so­ry pow­ers, Ahri­man­ic pow­ers have been exert­ing their influ­ence. And these har­mon­ic pow­ers are at work wher­ev­er dishar­monies between groups of peo­ple arise.

The Mirror is Not the Face: Why the Intellect Is No Substitute for Spirit

With intel­lec­tu­al inge­nu­ity, proof can be fur­nished in sup­port of the most rad­i­cal­ly oppos­ing theories… 

The intel­lec­tu­al­ism pre­vail­ing among men to-day is not capa­ble of demon­strat­ing the inner poten­tial­i­ties and val­ues of any­thing. It can fur­nish proofs; but what is intel­lec­tu­al­ly proved should not be regard­ed as of real val­ue or effi­ca­cy in life. Men oppose one anoth­er in par­ties because the sound­ness of every par­ty opin­ion — at any rate the main par­ty opin­ions — can be proved with equal jus­ti­fi­ca­tion. Our intel­lect remains at the sur­face-lay­er of under­stand­ing and does not pen­e­trate to the deep­er lay­er where the truth actu­al­ly lies.…

For that it is essen­tial above all to real­ize that wal­low­ing in abstrac­tions, how­ev­er loud the cry for the spir­it, is not yet spir­i­tu­al, not yet spir­it! Vague, abstract chat­ter­ing about the spir­it must nev­er be con­fused with the active search for the con­tent of the spir­i­tu­al world pur­sued in anthro­po­soph­i­cal science.…

Pure­ly intel­lec­tu­al allu­sion to the spir­it leads nowhere.…

The pic­ture pre­sent­ed to you by the mir­ror is you, but it has no real­i­ty at all. It is noth­ing but a reflec­tion. All the intel­li­gence with­in your soul, all the intel­lec­tu­al con­tent, is only a mir­ror-image; it has no reality.…

Man is intel­li­gent only because his body is there. And as lit­tle as you can touch your­self by stretch­ing your hand towards your reflect­ed image, as lit­tle can you lay hold of the spir­it if you turn only to the intel­lec­tu­al — for the spir­it is not there! …

The rea­son why intel­li­gence is so seduc­tive is that it yields a pic­ture, a reflect­ed pic­ture of the spir­it — but not the spir­it itself.…

But if men are able to rouse them­selves to take into their con­scious­ness what we have been study­ing, if they are able so to guide it that human­i­ty can freely con­front the Ahri­man­ic influ­ence, then, when Ahri­man appears, men will acquire, pre­cise­ly through him, the pow­er to real­ize that, although the earth must enter inevitably into its decline, mankind is lift­ed above earth­ly exis­tence through this very fact.

When a man has reached a cer­tain age in phys­i­cal life, his body begins to decline, but if he is sen­si­ble he makes no com­plaint, know­ing that togeth­er with his soul he is approach­ing a life that does not run par­al­lel with this phys­i­cal decline. There lives in mankind some­thing that is not bound up with the already pre­vail­ing decline of the phys­i­cal earth but becomes more and more spir­i­tu­al just because of this phys­i­cal decline.

Let us learn to say frankly: Yes, the earth is in its decline, and human life, too, in respect of its phys­i­cal man­i­fes­ta­tion; but just because it is so, let us muster the strength to draw into our civ­i­liza­tion that ele­ment which, spring­ing from mankind itself, will live on while the earth is in decline, as the immor­tal fruit of earth-evolution.

Dave Oshana Unwelcome Intell. to Spiritual Foetuses

We are spir­i­tu­al foe­tus­es. Some things com­ing into our womb-space are nec­es­sary; some are unnec­es­sary; some are damaging.

In our cur­rent state of aware­ness, we are not always able to dis­cern the dif­fer­ence between nec­es­sary, unnec­es­sary, and dam­ag­ing. This puts the onus on Dave Oshana to be our eyes and ears, report­ing the ener­getic facts of life back to us, because they are obvi­ous to him (some­times painful­ly), but invis­i­ble to us.

In order to share that infor­ma­tion and pro­vide us with use­ful guid­ance, he has assumed a posi­tion of pow­er in our lives.

The mes­sage of this last week­end was sim­ple: the soul is real; the soul is in dan­ger. The proof that the soul is in dan­ger is that we no longer (eas­i­ly) rec­og­nize that the soul is real. And (a vicious cir­cle), the more endan­gered our souls become, the hard­er it is to allow our­selves to see that they are real, and that the dan­ger there­fore is also real.

From a very young age, Dave observed the law of mat­ter. He tried not to mess with the maker’s design, and to fol­low the nat­ur­al will of his body, as much as possible. 

Any­thing that we do in our lives to cre­ate a “spike,” i.e., to dra­mat­i­cal­ly alter our expe­ri­ence, from eat­ing choco­late to watch­ing movies, from ejac­u­la­tion to alco­hol, gen­i­tal rub­bing to gen­der reas­sign­ment, is a case of over­rid­ing the body’s nat­ur­al func­tion­ing, to pro­vide relief to the false identity.

In our cur­rent par­a­digm, we do not have a soul, there­fore no one is try­ing to cap­ture our souls. If we go along with this, then we begin to live our lives as if we don’t have a soul, and as if no one and noth­ing was try­ing to cap­ture it. The inevitable end point of this tra­jec­to­ry is that we won’t have a soul, because it will have been captured.

How can we know any­thing about any­thing if our con­scious­ness isn’t ful­ly here? When our con­scious life force can’t enter our bod­ies and make way for the soul to land, our minds suf­fer and we seek com­pen­sato­ry forms of relief, dis­trac­tion, pur­pose and meaning.

The dev­il makes work for idle hands, and junk food for emp­ty souls. The idea of “mak­ing the world a bet­ter place,” for exam­ple, is Satan’s boo­by prize in exchange for cap­tur­ing our soul-aware­ness. Those who have giv­en up on sav­ing their souls set about to save the world instead. 

But what if this world is designed by the dev­il to cap­ture our souls?!

To focus on sav­ing, or reclaim­ing, our souls, begins with mov­ing our focus away from the world and to the self—the soul. How we face the ener­getic facts of our con­di­tions in the spir­i­tu­al womb of exis­tence in which we are form­ing? How can we free the cap­tured souls of our ances­tors? This is the nat­ur­al place to begin.

If our ances­tors were cap­tured by their own igno­rance of their soul-natures, and due to their mis­use of their bod­ies, these are some of the ances­tral threads of our own soul-enmesh­ment in the satan­ic web of this world.

If we address, admit, and absolve some of those pat­terns of ener­getic abuse, we take steps to free­ing our ances­tors from a mul­ti-gen­er­a­tional soul trap, and opti­mize the con­di­tions for our own spir­i­tu­al birth.

At the Coun­cil of Con­stan­tino­ple it was decreed that the spir­it did not exist; it was dog­mat­i­cal­ly stat­ed that the human being con­sist­ed only of body and soul, and it was heresy to speak of a human spir­it. In the same way attempts will be made to decree the soul, the inner life, as nonexistent.

The time will come — and it may not be far off — when quite dif­fer­ent ten­den­cies will come up at a con­gress like the one held in 1912 and peo­ple will say: It is patho­log­i­cal for peo­ple to even think in terms of spir­it and soul. ‘Sound’ peo­ple will speak of noth­ing but the body. It will be con­sid­ered a sign of ill­ness for any­one to arrive at the idea of any such thing as a spir­it or a soul. Peo­ple who think like that will be con­sid­ered to be sick and — you can be quite sure of it — a med­i­cine will be found for this. At Con­stan­tino­ple the spir­it was made non-exis­tent. The soul will be made non-exis­tent with the aid of a drug. Tak­ing a ‘sound point of view’, peo­ple will invent a vac­cine to influ­ence the organ­ism as ear­ly as pos­si­ble, prefer­ably as soon as it is born, so that this human body nev­er even gets the idea that there is a soul and a spirit.

The two philoso­phies of life will be in com­plete oppo­si­tion. One move­ment will need to reflect how con­cepts and ideas may be devel­oped to meet the real­i­ty of soul and spir­it. The oth­ers, the heirs of mod­ern mate­ri­al­ism, will look for the vac­cine to make the body ‘healthy’, that is, makes its con­sti­tu­tion such that this body no longer talks of such rub­bish as soul and spir­it, but takes a ‘sound’ view of the forces which live in engines and in chem­istry and let plan­ets and suns arise from neb­u­lae in the cos­mos. Mate­ri­al­is­tic physi­cians will be asked to dri­ve the souls out of humanity.

Peo­ple who think that play­ful ideas will help them to look ahead to the future are very much mis­tak­en. We need seri­ous, pro­found ideas to look ahead to the future. Anthro­pos­o­phy is not a game, nor just a the­o­ry; it is a task that must be faced for the sake of human evolution.

If we are to con­tin­ue in the right way today, we must con­sid­er some­thing of the nature of the human being and how human beings are part of his­tor­i­cal evo­lu­tion. First of all we con­sid­er the fact that human beings have the pow­er, or the gift, of the intel­lect. What does this mean? It means that we are able to form ideas. For the moment we need not reflect on where these ideas come from. The life of thought is with us wher­ev­er we are in wak­ing con­scious­ness. And we also feel, for instance, that when we walk, stand or do any­thing else, we are guid­ed by our thoughts, by some­thing which exists first of all in the mind. Lat­er on we shall dis­cuss if this real­ly is the case. For the moment I mere­ly want to estab­lish what fills the con­scious mind in every­day life. It is our thoughts. But when it comes to the world of thought as such, the mat­ter is real­ly quite dif­fer­ent. And we shall not under­stand how human beings real­ly relate to their thoughts unless we first con­sid­er the true nature of the world of thought.

In real­i­ty we are always, wher­ev­er we are — whether sit­ting, stand­ing or lying down — not only in the world of air and light and so on, but also in a world of surg­ing thoughts. You will find it eas­i­est to get an idea of this if you look at it like this: When you walk on earth as an ordi­nary phys­i­cal human being you are also a breath­ing human being, walk­ing in a space filled with air. And in more or less the same way you move in a space filled with thoughts. Thought-sub­stance fills the space around you. It is not a vague ocean of thoughts, nor the kind of neb­u­lous ether peo­ple some­times like to imag­ine. No, this thought-sub­stance is actu­al­ly what we call the ele­men­tal world. When we speak of enti­ties which are part of the ele­men­tal world in the widest sense of the word, they con­sist of thought-sub­stance, actu­al thought-sub­stance. There is, how­ev­er, a dif­fer­ence between the thoughts flit­ting around out there, which real­ly are liv­ing enti­ties, and the thoughts we have in our minds. I have spo­ken of this dif­fer­ence on a num­ber of occa­sions. In my book due to be pub­lished short­ly, and which I men­tioned yes­ter­day, Note 1 ] you will find fur­ther ref­er­ences to this difference.

You may well ask your­self: If there is such an ele­men­tal prin­ci­ple out there in thought-space and if I, too, have thoughts in my head — what is the rela­tion­ship between the two? To get the right idea of how your own thoughts relate to the thought-enti­ties out there you have to visu­al­ize the dif­fer­ence between a human corpse which has been left behind when some­one has died and a liv­ing per­son who is walk­ing about. The kind of thoughts you have to con­sid­er in this respect are the kind you gain from the world you per­ceive with the sens­es when in wak­ing con­scious­ness. Our own thoughts are actu­al­ly thought-corpses. This is the essen­tial point. The thoughts com­ing from the world we per­ceive with the sens­es and drag around with us when in wak­ing con­scious­ness are thought-corpses — thoughts that have been killed. Out­side us they are alive, which is the difference.

We are part of the ele­men­tal world of thought in so far as we kill its liv­ing thoughts when we devel­op ideas on the basis of what our sens­es have per­ceived in the world around us. Our think­ing con­sists in hav­ing those corpses of thoughts inside us, and this makes our thoughts abstract. We have abstract thoughts because we kill liv­ing thoughts. It is real­ly true that in our state of con­scious­ness we walk around bear­ing thought corpses which we call our thoughts and ideas. This is the reality.

The liv­ing thoughts in the out­side world are cer­tain­ly not unre­lat­ed to us; there is a liv­ing rela­tion­ship. I can demon­strate this to you, but do not be fright­ened by the grotesque nature of this unac­cus­tomed idea. Imag­ine you are lying in bed and it is morn­ing. You can get up in two dif­fer­ent ways. Ordi­nar­i­ly, you are not aware of the dif­fer­ence between them because you are not in the habit of mak­ing the dis­tinc­tion, and any­way you do not pay atten­tion to this par­tic­u­lar moment of get­ting up. Nev­er­the­less, you can get up out of habit, with­out think­ing about it, or you can actu­al­ly pro­duce the thought: I am now going to get up. There are peo­ple, how­ev­er, who get them­selves up out of sheer habit, and yet there is just a touch of the idea: I am going to get up now. To repeat, many peo­ple do not make the dis­tinc­tion, but it can be made in the abstract, and the dif­fer­ence is enor­mous. If you get up with­out giv­ing it a thought, out of sheer habit and train­ing, you are fol­low­ing impuls­es giv­en by the Spir­its of Form, the Elo­him, when they cre­at­ed human beings as dwellers on earth at the begin­ning of earth evo­lu­tion. So you see, if you switch off your own think­ing and always get up like a machine, you are not get­ting up with­out thought hav­ing gone into it, but it is not your own thought. The form of move­ment involved in get­ting up involves thoughts — objec­tive, not sub­jec­tive, inner thoughts; these are not your thoughts but those of the Spir­its of Form.

If you were a ter­ri­bly lazy per­son who real­ly did not want to get up at all, if it real­ly was not in your nature to get up and you would only get up on reflec­tion, against your nature, out of pure­ly sub­jec­tive thought, you’d be fol­low­ing ahri­man­ic ten­den­cies; you would be fol­low­ing only your head, and there­fore Ahri­man. As I said, the dis­tinc­tion is not made in ordi­nary life. And every­thing else we do is real­ly done in the same way as our get­ting up. Human beings tru­ly are made up of two enti­ties which can be out­ward­ly dis­tin­guished as the head and the rest of the body. The human head is an extra­or­di­nar­i­ly sig­nif­i­cant instru­ment and much old­er than the rest of the body. The con­struc­tion of the human head is such — I spoke about this last year — that the basic shape arose dur­ing Moon evo­lu­tion, though the head has, in fact, come down through Sat­urn, Sun and Moon evo­lu­tion. Humans would look quite dif­fer­ent if they still had the shape they had dur­ing Moon evolution.

In very gen­er­al terms we might say peo­ple would look like spec­tres, with only the form of the head emerg­ing some­what more clear­ly, which was the orig­i­nal intent. The rest of the body was not meant to be as vis­i­ble as it is now. These things have to be con­sid­ered, oth­er­wise we can­not real­ly under­stand human evo­lu­tion on earth. The rest of the body was meant to be pure­ly ele­men­tal by nature. In the head, every­thing would come into effect which has come down as Moon exis­tence trans­formed by earth; let us call it ‘a’. But this inher­it­ed Moon exis­tence trans­formed by earth is the actu­al human being, for the human being is real­ly a head with only a very insignif­i­cant attachment.

The rest of the human being — let us call it ‘b’ and to begin with let us sim­ply con­sid­er it to be this ele­men­tal, airy prin­ci­ple — is a man­i­fes­ta­tion of the high­er hier­ar­chies, from the Spir­its of Form down­wards. The right and only way of see­ing the human being is to real­ize that every­thing shown here as ‘b’ has been cre­at­ed by the cos­mic hier­ar­chies. The human being which has evolved from the time of Sat­urn emerged against the back­ground of the cos­mic hier­ar­chies. If you visu­al­ize the essen­tial nature of the parts of the human being which are not head — you must think of it as all spir­it, or at least all air — then you have the body of cos­mic hier­ar­chies (draw­ing on the board).

How­ev­er, lucifer­ic seduc­tion entered into the whole process of evo­lu­tion. The out­come was that this whole, more ele­men­tal, body con­densed to become the rest of the human body, which of course also had an effect on the head. This will give you an idea of the true nature of the human being. Apart from the head, which is their own, hav­ing come from ear­li­er evo­lu­tion, human beings would be an out­ward man­i­fes­ta­tion of the Elo­him if their bod­ies had not become sen­su­ous flesh. It is entire­ly due to the temp­ta­tions of Lucifer that this out­ward man­i­fes­ta­tion of the Elo­him has con­densed to become flesh.

Some­thing very strange has arisen as a result, an impor­tant secret to which I have referred a num­ber of times. What has hap­pened is that the human being has become the image of the gods in the very organs which are nor­mal­ly called the organs of his low­er nature. This image of the gods has been debased in human beings as they are on earth. The high­est prin­ci­ple in human beings, the spir­i­tu­al prin­ci­ple com­ing from the cos­mos, has become their low­er nature. Please, do not for­get that this is an impor­tant secret of human nature. Our low­er nature, which is due to Lucifer­’s influ­ence, was actu­al­ly des­tined to be our high­er nature. This is the con­tra­dic­to­ry ele­ment in human nature. Right­ly under­stood, it will solve count­less rid­dles in the world and in life.

 We are thus able to say: In the course of human evo­lu­tion man has, thanks to the lucifer­ic ele­ment, made the part of him that should be con­stant­ly emerg­ing from the cos­mos into his low­er nature. Many his­tor­i­cal phe­nom­e­na will find their expla­na­tion if you con­sid­er that this was known to the lead­ers of the ancient Mys­ter­ies, peo­ple who were not as face­tious, cyn­i­cal and nar­row-mind­ed as peo­ple are today. Cer­tain sym­bols tak­en from the low­er nature and used in the past, sym­bols that today are mere­ly seen as sex­u­al sym­bols, are explained by the fact that the priests who used them in the ancient Mys­ter­ies did so in order to give expres­sion to the high­er real­i­ty of the low­er nature of man.

You can see how sen­si­tive we have to be in deal­ing with these things if we are not to be face­tious. Mod­ern peo­ple slip eas­i­ly into face­tious­ness, because they can­not even imag­ine that there is more to human beings than mere sen­su­al­i­ty — which, in fact, is the lucifer­ic ele­ment in our high­er nature. Thus his­tor­i­cal sym­bols are eas­i­ly giv­en entire­ly the wrong inter­pre­ta­tion. It takes some nobil­i­ty of spir­it not to inter­pret the old sym­bols in a low­er sense, even though they often can be inter­pret­ed in that way.

With this, you will also begin to real­ize that if thoughts from the ele­men­tal world come to us — they are liv­ing thoughts, not abstract, dead ones that come from the head — they must be com­ing out of the whole human being. Mere reflec­tion will not achieve this. Today the idea is that we only arrive at our thoughts by reflec­tion. Today the idea is: If human beings will just reflect, they can think about any­thing, pro­vid­ing the things they want to think about are acces­si­ble. This is non­sense, how­ev­er. The truth is that the human race is in a process of evo­lu­tion, and the thoughts devel­oped by Coper­ni­cus, for exam­ple, or Galileo, at a par­tic­u­lar time could not be reached by mere reflec­tion before that time. You see, peo­ple fab­ri­cate the thoughts they have in their heads. But when a thought which marks a real change aris­es in world his­to­ry, this thought is giv­en by the gods and through the whole human being. It flows through the human being, over­com­ing the lucifer­ic ele­ment, and only reach­es the head out of the whole human being. I think this is some­thing you can under­stand. In cer­tain ages, par­tic­u­lar thoughts just have to be wait­ed for and expect­ed; then human beings are not mere­ly reflect­ing, nor is some­thing con­veyed through their eyes or ears, but inspi­ra­tion comes from the world of the hier­ar­chies and it comes through the whole essen­tial human being, which is the image of the hierarchies.
